Labour lead stretches to 25 points

Labour’s lead over the Tories has hit its highest point since last summer while its leader Sir Keir Starmer enjoyed a record-breaking high approval in the latest polls by WeThink.

Labour stretched its lead in the polls by three points to 25 over the Conservatives this week, its highest lead since July 2023.

Meanwhile, Sir Keir Starmer’s share of the vote in WeThink’s weekly ‘who’d be the best Prime Minister’ tracker hit 44%, his highest-ever, as his lead over Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stretched by four points to 18.

At the same time, 76% of voters said they want a general election in the next six months with 24% disagreeing and 49% said they want one immediately, versus 51% who said they don’t.
